PART 1

Dear families,

We are so excited to send you this month’s Partnering with Parents topic! It is all about the pressures of schedules and making a choice to get a grip on that crazy pace of the modern family life.

We hope this video inspires and encourages you. Especially in the shifting seasons of life and activities, it is great to get that list of helpful tips to be able to 'redeem the time' as mentioned in Ephesians.

Ephesians 5:15-16, “See then that you walk wisely, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Also, if you're looking for ways for you and your family to enhance your celebration of Advent, www.nac-usa.org/advent includes many activity ideas you can use as described or customize for your family.

Some opportunities to highlight are:

  • Names of Jesus Advent Countdown Bible reading activity
  • Names of Jesus weekly Advent devotional videos
  • Family Activities - Prayer prompts and conversation starters
  • National Worship Evening - Saturday, December 19th

Joining you in prayer for your child,

PART 2

Hi families,

How is the pace of your family life? Do you feel overwhelmed by the constant push to do more and be more places? It might be time to sit down and decide on what this month’s Partnering with Parents calls “Family Goals.”

You have goals at work for the things your boss needs you to do, and your kids have goals that they must accomplish to get their grades. Why not have some goals for your family, not to put more pressure on everyone, but to balance everything better? It might even mean getting rid of a few things that just don’t fit your new goals!

Give this month’s Partnering with Parents a watch and then sit down as a family and ask yourselves some questions!

1. What are the goals we need to have as a family?

  • Schedule Wise?
  • Financially?
  • Spiritually?
  • Emotionally/Relationally?

2. How long should each of the above goals take? Set a goal and a time for each.

3. What is a celebration or “reward” we could attach to each of our goals?

4. What is something we may have to give up in order to accomplish each of these goals?

Together in Him,

The NAC USA Family Ministry Team
