Reminder – Road to Confirmation Enrollment Deadline

Advent Season

Road to Confirmation Enrollment Deadline

We are in the final weeks of the Road to Confirmation enrollment period for youth to be confirmed in 2024.   The complete Road to Confirmation process, starting with an Initial Conversation with youth  (who are in 10th or 11th grade) and their parents, is outlined on NDI (click here). Enrollment is complete when the Initial Conversation is documented in NACstat. Conversation guides for the Initial Conversation as well as the Checkpoint Conversations are available on NDI. Please work with your rector to ensure Initial Conversations are had with those eligible and documented before December 31,2023.

We are praying for all of our youth who have decided to embark on The Road to Confirmation and who now are preparing to make their profession of faith, as well as for those who have decided to wait an additional year. Advent Season

As we approach the Christmas season, we invite you and your family to join us in celebrating the joyful and meaningful tradition of Advent. Advent is a special time of preparation and anticipation, leading us to the wonderful celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

What is Advent?

Advent, derived from the Latin word 'adventus,' meaning 'coming' or 'arrival,' is a season of reflection and expectation. It marks the beginning of the Christian liturgical year, focusing on the coming of Jesus Christ. Advent typically spans the four Sundays leading up to Christmas Day.

How Can You Participate and Prepare for Christmas Day?

We've created a set of resources designed to make Advent a memorable and engaging experience for all. As you explore these resources, you'll find an Advent calendar, family activities, craft ideas, prayer prompts, devotions, small group series, and a Christmas playlist.  We believe that Advent is a beautiful opportunity to come together, reflect on the true meaning and great significance of Christmas, and create lasting memories. You are a cherished part of the church, and we warmly invite you to explore these resources with us.

With love and anticipation,
