NAC USA Safety Protocols

Important Announcement: Beginning in 2024, please note that the NAC USA Safety Protocols (Background check, Sexual Abuse Awareness Training, NAC USA Policy and Procedures for working with minors) are now to be renewed annually for the safety and well-being of our Sunday School and Religious Instruction teachers, Youth Leaders, and volunteers engaging with minors on a consistent basis (4 or more times per year). Please ensure that your committee status and role in NACStat are updated by March 31, by your rector to ensure you receive the information needed to complete this task. Completion of these protocols is essential for anyone who will begin working with or will continue working with minors in 2024.  In our unwavering dedication to the safety and well-being of our children, youth, and volunteers, we earnestly request your complete compliance with this vital matter. Your commitment ensures a secure environment for all.

Lent Resources

We're thrilled to share a special Lent Calendar designed for you and your loved ones. Throughout the 40 days of Lent, this calendar offers meaningful activities focusing on family, faith, and friendships, each accompanied by a relevant Bible verse. Even on Sundays, traditionally exempt from Lenten observances, we've included activities and verses. Our sincere hope is that this resource helps prepare your hearts, minds, and souls for the joyous celebration of Easter!  For Lent resources CLICK HERE

Road to Confirmation

As our youth progress through their self-paced online courses on NDI (NAC-USA Development Institute), strategic Checkpoint conversations should be scheduled.  These conversations provide an opportunity for the youth to ask questions, assure our youth they are supported on this journey, and keep our youth on pace with course completion. The Checkpoint conversations are scheduled to take place after specific online courses are completed.  Ideally, parents are encouraged to engage in Checkpoint conversation #1 after their youth completes online courses 1 and 2.  Youth Leaders are encouraged to engage in Checkpoint conversation #2 after our youth completes online courses 3 and 4, and  the rector or minister who will conduct the Confirmation blessing is encouraged to engage in Checkpoint conversation #3 after our youth completes online courses 5 and 6.  If your Checkpoint conversations haven't taken place yet, below are links to the Checkpoint conversation guides for easy access. All of the courses and Checkpoint conversation guides are available without a login.

Parent(s)/Guardian(s) - Checkpoint Conversation #1

Pan American Youth Summit - Registration is Now Open

In August of 2024, Chief Apostle Schneider is coming to Canada for a youth weekend. Youth and young adults from Canada, the US, Argentina, Australia, and Germany have been invited. Navigating the increasingly complex logistics of international travel, particularly with minors, presents unique challenges. As a result, NAC-USA will not be coordinating travel or group arrangements for next year’s Pan-American Youth Summit in Canada. In alignment with how international church events have been managed over the past decade, our focus is to share information about this opportunity with young adults, aged 18 and older, so they can determine if they would like to participate. Participants will be responsible for their travel arrangements and costs. Additionally, the registration fee for USA participants is $299.  Registration is Feb. 1 - 29.
